Who can see the people in your orbit

By default someone looking at your profile can see the people in your orbit. Two controls change that, in Settings → Privacy. Who can see your network. One switch hides your whole network at once. You can also hide individual people — the list shows "N of M shown" with a Show all / Hide all, so you can curate. Preview shows your orbit as a visitor sees it. It runs the same filter the real thing does, so it is not a separate guess that could drift out of step. Hide me in others' orbits is the other direction, and it is the stronger promise: when it is on, you are removed from every view of anyone else's orbit, and the owner of that orbit cannot put you back. It applies to people you are already connected to as well as future ones. If you want exceptions, you can name the friends who are allowed to show you while everyone else still cannot. All of this is enforced by Orrery itself, not just hidden in the display — so it holds however somebody looks.
