Reporting something or someone

How to report, and what happens to it.

You can report a person, a post, a comment, a Comet or a message. Look for the report action on the thing itself, or start from Report a safety issue in Support. You pick a reason — spam, harassment, hate speech, nudity, violence, misinformation or something else — and can add detail in your own words. What happens next. Your report goes to the people who handle safety at Orrery, and your own words are kept as you wrote them. They are not rewritten or summarised away. What Orrery will not tell you. Reports are not a conversation: you will not usually be told what was decided about another person's account, because that is their business and not yours. If the report is about you being contacted, blocking is the immediate thing in your own hands. If somebody is in danger right now, contact your local emergency services. Orrery is not an emergency service and cannot act at that speed. For anything involving a child, or a serious legal matter, use the safety route in Support rather than an ordinary message — it goes to a person, and the report is preserved.

Still stuck?

If none of these answer your question, there are two ways to reach a person.

  • If you can sign in: open Orrery, then choose Help & Support and press Contact support. Your request goes to the Support Center, where you can read the reply and follow it up.
  • If you cannot sign in: email [email protected]. A person reads it. Please describe what happens and what you were trying to do — and never include your password: nobody at Orrery will ever ask you for it.
