If Orrery feels slow, or the map stutters

A few real settings that help, and what to tell support.

A few things in Orrery genuinely affect how hard your device is working: - Settings → Appearance → Orbit & visual effects turns down the moving parts of the map. - Settings → Appearance → Accessibility → Reduce motion removes animation across the app. Orrery also follows your device's own reduce-motion setting. - Settings → Appearance → Media has autoplay and a data saver, which help most on a phone or a limited connection. - If your map is crowded, Hide from main view on a cluster member's Settings tab takes their planet off the main map while keeping them in the cluster. Reloading the page is also worth trying — it is quick and it clears a lot. If it is still slow, report it from Support and say which screen, what you were doing, and what device and browser you are on. That is what makes it findable. Orrery attaches some technical detail automatically; it never takes a screenshot on its own.

Still stuck?

If none of these answer your question, there are two ways to reach a person.

  • If you can sign in: open Orrery, then choose Help & Support and press Contact support. Your request goes to the Support Center, where you can read the reply and follow it up.
  • If you cannot sign in: email [email protected]. A person reads it. Please describe what happens and what you were trying to do — and never include your password: nobody at Orrery will ever ask you for it.
