If you have forgotten your password

How the reset email works and why the link stops working.

On the sign-in screen, choose the forgotten-password option and enter your email address. If that address has an Orrery account, a reset link is emailed to it. For your safety, the screen says the same thing whether or not an account exists — otherwise the page could be used to find out who has an account. Things worth knowing about the link: - It works once. If you open it, set a password and then use the same link again, it will not work. - It expires after about an hour. If it has expired, ask for a new one. - Setting a new password signs you out on every device, including the one you are using. That is deliberate: if someone else had access, this removes it. If the email has not arrived, check the spam or junk folder, and check that you typed the same address your account uses.

Still stuck?

If none of these answer your question, there are two ways to reach a person.

  • If you can sign in: open Orrery, then choose Help & Support and press Contact support. Your request goes to the Support Center, where you can read the reply and follow it up.
  • If you cannot sign in: email [email protected]. A person reads it. Please describe what happens and what you were trying to do — and never include your password: nobody at Orrery will ever ask you for it.
