Blocking, and muting

Blocking is the strong one. A block works in both directions: you and they become invisible to each other and cannot contact each other. It also ends any existing friendship or follow between you, and it applies everywhere — messages, groups, orbits, events, invite links, discovery. You block from a person's planet. Because a blocked person no longer appears in your orbit, unblocking is done from Settings → Privacy → Blocked & muted, which is the only place it lives. That section is hidden when you have not blocked anyone. Muting is gentle and one-sided. A muted contact stays a contact and nothing is severed — their posts just stop appearing in your feed. You mute someone from their Settings tab. You can also hide a single post from your feed, with an Undo if you change your mind. Neither blocking nor muting sends the other person any notification. Blocking does end a friendship or follow, so they may notice you are no longer connected.
