AI features in Search

Orrery has two optional AI features, and both are switched off until you turn them on. AI answers also have to be available on your Orrery; where they are not, Search simply behaves as it always does and says so. - Meaning-based search finds things by what they are about, not only by the words used. This runs inside Orrery — nothing is sent to another company for it. - AI answers writes a short answer to a question from a handful of your own records. This one does send those extracts to an AI provider to be written up. They are separate switches under one main one, so you can have meaning-based search without AI answers. Things worth knowing: - Ordinary search never changes. It stays exactly as fast, and it keeps working if AI is off, unavailable or over its limit. - An answer always names its sources, and you can open them to check. If Orrery cannot ground an answer in something real, it does not present one. - Data from your connected Google or Outlook calendar is never used for AI. It stays fully searchable in the ordinary way; only the AI part is withheld, and the answer tells you when something was left out. - Turning meaning-based search off removes what was built for it. Orrery does not score your friendships, rank your relationships or recommend who to be closer to.
